Tom is a Director, focusing on east coast firm development with an exceptionally diverse understanding of collateral and asset based financing. While his primary role is in the field, he also works hand in hand with executive management to grow the Bluewater east coast presence.

Tom has held Loan Officer and Audit Manager positions with a premier, national asset-based lender. With extensive credit management experience, Tom works seamlessly with client credit management teams, effectively communicating issues and findings from the field, making even the most out-of-the-box survey, recurring, or troubled loan examinations flow efficiently and effectively.

BACKGROUND

Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Tom earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of North Carolina Charlotte. Tom started his career as a financial statement auditor with Deloitte & Touche, earning his CPA license while working with privately and publicly held companies, as well as U.S. divisions of multinational corporations. He spent over six years with CIT Business Credit, where he served as an Account Executive, managing a portfolio of asset-based loans, and as a Regional Audit Manager. Within his loan portfolio, Tom’s responsibilities included personally handling new credit underwriting, client liquidations, and bankruptcies. Also, working directly with attorneys, turnaround professionals, and executive management.
